TAKE YOUR TIME

Hey pal, don't you have a time

to sit and listen for a while?

You're trodding in haste

as if every breathe is a waste.

Think over again before it comes to end

The time you won't be able to appreciate the blend

When your senses fail and no more play

And the scourge of fear you began to feel.

Will you listen to your favorite band 

when you hear no more?

Will you feel the beam of radiant sunrise

when your skin is numb?

How will you enjoy the sweet pancakes

if bitterness is all you taste?

How will you say then that the sky is blue

when all you see is a blur?

Hey young pal, you have your time

Walk righteously and be at peace

Have a sit and rest a while

Just breathe, take your time.
