A PRAYER OF THANKS

How could I make my lips silent,yea

Oh Lord you're my salvation, Holy Thee

Be exalted Your most Holy name on high

Your benevolence Oh Lord now let me count.

From the depth of my despair,I

Was left alone,friends they may say

but where were they? Only You oh Dearest

You stayed just for me, a caring friend indeed.

Days of my lament,You were there

To talk to me and console,You have

told me a story I would never forget.

Then they wonder why in loneliness I merriment.

I found myself in a drought one day

Afflicted with thirst and hunger, yet

You took my hand and led me there,

A pasteur of green and valleys of sweet.

Enemies wanted me to fall,to torment me

But you saved me and taught of nobility

"Never fear my son" You said, "for everytime

you are hurt, it is Me, they mock Me.

Oh how sweet were those words you uttered

That pride and boast consummated me

But you loved me Oh Lord, you smote me

Because of love never I knew you punished me.

Another year is yet to come but blessings,

My count is not yet done, how?

If your abundance nothing could define.

Oh Lord,I pray have patience on me.

Though I am unworthy Oh Lord I pray

Your compassion endow to me lest I perish

This brand new year to come guide me

As you had allowed me succeed this year to end.

Thru this prayer of thanks is a promise

As I bow my head in silence, now,

Listen to a whisper from the heart

A vow known only by You and me.

With temerity and strength, I dare..
